Joblumi vs Novoresume: pass against pass

Joblumi EditorialLast checked 1 Nov 20266 min read

Most CV builders sell a subscription that renews until you cancel. Novoresume and Joblumi don't. Both sell a pass: you pay once, use it for a fixed time, and then your account goes back to the free plan with your documents still saved. So on this page the question is not "subscription or not". It is how long each pass runs, what it costs per period, what the free plans leave out, and how each tool handles a German application.

Price per period, calculated

Because both tools sell fixed periods, you can compare them directly. The Joblumi figures for 6 months assume two 90-day passes, whose days are added together.

You need it forJoblumiNovoresume
About 1 month€14.90 (30 days)€19.99 (1 month)
About 3 months€34.90 (90 days)€47.99 (3 months)
About 6 months€69.80 (2 × 90 days = 180 days, calculated)€89.99 (6 months)

Novoresume shows its 3-month pass as €16 a month and its 6-month pass as €15 a month. The Joblumi passes cost €0.50 a day (30 days) and €0.39 a day (90 days, about €11.63 for each 30 days, calculated).

Neither tool charges you again when the period ends, so you decide once and there is nothing to stop later.

What the free plans leave out

Here the two tools differ more than in price.

Novoresume Basic is free with no end date. According to its pricing page it includes one resume of one page, 8 templates and 30 colour themes, a predefined layout, 2 AI credits a month, the ATS Checker, and a PDF with a real text layer and Novoresume branding. The cover letter builder, custom layout, specialised sections and custom margins are Pro features.

Joblumi Free is one complete application: 1 CV in 3 of the 10 designs with PDF download, up to 5 changes, the full (G)ATS Score with every fix shown, 1 version of your CV for a specific job with a language check, 1 cover letter, and 1 job on your list.

The practical difference: with Novoresume Basic you can build and check a one-page CV for free, but the cover letter needs Pro. With Joblumi Free you get a CV and one cover letter, so you can send one full application without paying.

Page length and the German CV

Novoresume Basic is limited to one page. Its Pro pass allows up to 25 pages per document and up to 144 documents. A German CV with several years of work experience can need two pages; on Novoresume that means Pro.

Joblumi's designs follow the German tabular CV: short entries in reverse order, dates as MM/YYYY, language levels on the European scale (A1 to C2, GER in German). If you buy a second pass while one is running, its days are added to the end.

Photo and other German details

On a German application, a photo is optional. Novoresume's German templates page answers the question "Do I need a photo?" with no, and its pricing page lists picture styles (1 on Basic, 5 on Pro). Joblumi has an optional photo field; you decide.

Other details that matter in Germany:

  • Cover letter layout. Novoresume matches each cover letter template to its CV template in design. Joblumi lays out every cover letter as a German business letter under DIN 5008: sender block, date line, subject line, formal greeting.
  • Language. Novoresume's site comes in Danish, German, English (UK and US) and Spanish. Joblumi's website is in English and the app is in English and German; with a pass, Joblumi translates your CV between German and English.
  • File format. Novoresume's German templates page recommends PDF. Its pricing page lists a PDF with a real text layer. Joblumi gives you PDF on the free plan and Word with a pass.

AI on both sides

Novoresume says its AI is "powered by Claude", a model by Anthropic. Joblumi also uses Anthropic for its AI features. The difference is in how use is counted: Novoresume gives 2 AI credits a month on Basic and 10 a month on Pro. Joblumi's pass has no fixed number of job versions and cover letters, under fair use.

When Novoresume is the better choice

  • You want one payment that covers 6 months.
  • You want the tool in Danish or Spanish.
  • You want an ATS checker and a free plan with no end date for a one-page CV.
  • You want many design options: Pro lists 74 colour themes, 12 fonts and all templates.

When Joblumi is the better choice

  • You apply in Germany and want the German rules for CV and cover letter explained in English.
  • You want a free cover letter next to your free CV.
  • You want a shorter or lower-priced pass: €14.90 for 30 days, €34.90 for 90 days.
  • You want a CV version for each job, a board with stages and reminders, and practice for interviews and assessment tests in the same app (with a pass).

Which costs less for 3 months? At the prices on 31 Oct 2026: Joblumi €34.90 for 90 days, Novoresume €47.99 for 3 months. Both include VAT.

Nothing to cancel on either side

Novoresume Pro is billed once and doesn't renew, so there is nothing to cancel; after the paid period your account goes back to Basic (pricing, retrieved 31 Oct 2026). A Joblumi pass also ends by itself.

In short

Both tools sell a pass instead of a subscription, so the choice comes down to period and content. Novoresume offers a 6-month pass in one payment and a free one-page CV with an ATS checker. Joblumi offers shorter passes at lower prices per period, a free cover letter, and German CV and cover letter rules explained in English. If you apply only in Germany, Joblumi's free plan covers one complete application.
